The renewal forms recently distributed with the Autumn edition of Focus have incorrect British Orienteering fees in the calculations. Unfortunately the fees for 2011 were used rather than the fees for 2012.

I renewed online at the weekend and it cost me £1 more than on the renewal notice. I guess the online cost is the correct one.

well they've apologised for the error, but not indicated what they intend to do about it - won't be many of the membership who read Nopesport or every transient item on the BOF website - and in particular what they will do wrt anyone who pays at the quoted rate. For those lucky folk who get to pay Association fees as well, did they get the amounts wrong for these too?

Wonder what they'll do about the direct debit ones (which, if mine is typical, are also wrong)? I thought there was an obligation to tell you how much they would be debiting before doing so (not that a 50p error will exactly break the bank).

I renewed online as soon as the mailing came in (otherwise I would have just forgotten) and got it at the 2011 price. Wonder how they will sort that out?, if at all????

Seems like BOF give us something new each week deserving of a bashing - and if you do try to pass feed back to those responsible you get no meaningful reply.

Probably cost more in manpower, stationery and postage to inform us of the correct amount than they would have lost if charging amount on initial notification.
