I suppose we will get used to the new format: the muddy background,

how could you even say that !?
I don't know what kind of mud you have around where you live.
This is clearly a beer and mould stained background.

Designed I should wager, to make the student population feel like they are at home huddled in their squalid little room and so attract them back to the forum,
instead of all the old fogies continually banging on about how they would re-organise BOF and how good urban events are because they are so much easier than proper orienteering.

Actually to me it is very similar to trying to read a muddy map through the red mist resulting from trying too hard

Oh dear - first post revamp spam bot spotted in travel

There are a few spam bots who registered before we switched, whom we haven't managed to get round to deleting yet.

Can I just echo the requests to get rid of this theme asap, I didn't comment earlier as I assumed that it was only going to last a few hours.

It doesn't add anything and is hard to read. If a new nopesport them is still in development, then a plain default theme would be preferable. I was speaking to a long standing orienteer yesterday who had never heard of nopesport, and suggested he look in, but this theme made him recoil a bit.

Well, might as well put them off with the theme before the content does...

Unfortunately we couldn't just drop the old theme back in (as hoped, thus only lasting a few hours), so Pyrat has to do a full redesign which obviously has to wait until he has some free time, hopefully this weekend.

Trial and error shows why ... the link on the main forum page points to "http://forum.nopesport.com/viewforum.php?f=1", as it always did but, since the upgrade, it now gives a 404 error if you try it.

But, if you swap "f=1" for "f=01", all is well!

The number of new posts seems to have dropped off significantly since the forum upgrade, I wonder if there is a connection?
