Anything exciting or just better anti-spam?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Re: Forum Upgrade
Just better anti-spam - we hope. Movement to a brand new server. Forum templates will be a vanilla version initially but should be updated ASAP.

Re: Forum Upgrade
Now I see what you meant by "vanilla" - not "out of the box" but "dirty brown".
Maybe it will grow on me, but I hope it isn't given enough time to do so.
I hope the improved anti-spam proves effective - thanls for endeavouring to address that issue.

Re: Forum Upgrade
I suppose we will get used to the new format: the muddy background, the flashing blobs ( what do they indicate _ do I need to know ?) and a few spiderlike scribbles.
The worst aspect however is the speed of response when retrieving a URL link ~it's taking about 80 seconds to link into the BOF database.
I suppose it is possible to progress backwards

Re: Forum Upgrade
don't like it - flash blobs make me feel dizzy (means theres an unread reply Clive), and the colour is workable - hopefully.
Seems to be a lot less spam this morning so that is excellent!!!

Hi Clive,
Can you expand on the 80 second links to the bof database problem?

The style is relatively temporary until I get the chance to design and implement something similar to before.

Re: Forum Upgrade
My recent post in Mappers Beware thread contained two URL's ~ this one was the one that was taking a long time to load.

Hi Clive,
This is another website and not actually part of nopesport. The time taken for the page to load is the problem of the team over at BOF.
