does none of you people do any proper orienteering anymore ?

No we just like doing a type of orienteering that doesn't work so we can discuss it ad nauseam on Nopesport :evil:

Besides the urban events are what's on at the moment - there isn't a forest event within 100 miles of me for the next month :shock:

because forest orienteering isn't broken / hard to define?

because you don't like something doesn't mean it's 'a lot of pish' (basketball, however, is a lot of pish

Crathes was brilliant yesterday. Cambus O'May next Sunday is a top area, then Glen Dye, then Birsemoor Hill in successive fortnights - for my money Deeside's best 3 forests - brilliant

. That's why I live up here and then I do enjoy the occasional foray into the urban environment.

Yes, we are blessed but just to prove we're not stuck in the 'old ways of working' despite having some decent, traditional terrain on our doorstep:
