Re: Rest day
Got a lift from Mr FTD to the MTB O then sent him back to do the washing
Hilly in Sutherland's Grove but good fun. Cycled back to camp and earned a beer for lunch next then off to the farmers market.
All good recovery after the ceilidh.

Great game of golf in Oban.
The washing can wait.

You do! I have the Appin communal washing machine this week and you're welcome to use it if you promise to turn the handle.

We went Sea Kayaking on Loch Leven with Paddle Lochaber. Had a great time - paddled along side seals! Dont know who was more inquisitive - them or us!

Lie in, local farmer's market, sprint-O (good event, poor run), swim to cool off (marred slightly by probable jellyfish sting on foot), quiz.

My wife and daughter (non-orienteers) joined me for the day and we had a drive northwards, stopping off at cafes along the way. It was, in its way, a bit like finding orienteering controls - the SI Card being a piece of millionaire shortbread.

Re: Rest day
We had a perfect day crossing to Staffa and Iona, until I spoiled it, arriving back in Oban to find that I had left my jacket and all Margaret's keys on Mull.
Several phone calls established where it was not. Eventually decided I'd left it on a Bowmans bus. After a call to the owner he drove round to the driver's house, they found the offending items and got them on the last ferry of the day - what service
(Glad the owner wasn't Follyfoot
)

Re: Rest day
Some of the youngsters - 18s, 20s young 21s - had a bit of a party down on the beach at Tralee. No problem with that at all, just a shame that they left so much mess - enough rubbish to fill a number of bin bags had to be picked up by fellow orienteers the next morning !
If any of them read this, I hope they aren't so thoughtless next time - many great places for beach parties up on Moray.
