Orienteering footage required
Triple Echo, who produce the Adventure Show, have asked me if there is any footage available of orienteers running around! They have night orienteering and the WOC2015 (Mharky) footage but have urgent need of some more footage. They are bidding (against others) to produce a 90 second trailer for WOC2015 to show in WOC2011 in France. Please contact me (I'm in Oban of course) ASAP.

Grampian TV produced a programme for World Student Relays in Sluie (Deeside) in 1992 - Good action footage and a sprint finish. I lost my copy years ago (leant it to someone), but others may have copy if Grampian (part of STV now) can't locate it.

My late dog was the star of that documentary
although I doubt they'll be wanting those bits.

Re: Orienteering footage required
Given that the objective is to convince IOF (who know what orienteering is) to award the WOC to Scotland, I'd suggest that most footage needs to be about Scotland's unique features (generic footage of mountains, lochs, castles, distilleries, pipe bands, highland games, Inverness city, etc), rather than orienteering. But anyway...

Presumably it wouldn't be too hard get the original footage rather than the YouTube footage of those.

Part of the brief is whisky, glens etc but also needs orienteering and key messages. Hope someone can help - we will be creating some footage on Day 3 I hope.

Several DVDs exist of the 2005 World Cup in the South East filmed for Sky Sports. I could no doubt dig up a copy if required.

Re: Orienteering footage required
the people who made the PWT video got a dvd (I think) of all the footage from the event, I think Oleg might have taken it, might be worth asking him.

Footage was taken on Day 3 of Oban 2011 so this will do the job. Will be interested to see JK2011 in due course.
