West Mids Park-O Championships

West Mids Park-O Championships are at Aston Hall at 4 pm on Sunday week (26 June). There's a new map, we have special access to the gardens as well as to the park, and the three mass starts (3.2 km, 5.5 km, 1.3 km) will make it a fun event. You can enter at the bargain rate of £3.50 until Tuesday at http://www.fabian4.co.uk/ and, speaking as the planner who has to organise the Hagaby-style course printing, it'd help me if people entered in advance rather than on the day.

If you've already read the details at http://www.coboc.org.uk/, there're going to be updated because of Take That... They're performing at Villa Park the next day, so access to Trinity Road will be limited while the local police make their preparations... So you'll need to enter the park at the grammar school entrance (B6 6DJ), which isn't far from the first Aston Expressway exit if you're coming from the M6.

This year's championships will be in Warley Woods in July. It'll be the last event in a 7-race series that starts tomorrow in Sandwell Valley with the Dartmouth Park Map Race (2.2k/4.2k): http://www.octavian-droobers.org/index. ... y-map-race

This event is piggy-backed with Sandwell Leisure Trust's Easter Eggstravaganza, which last year had 1000 entries for their Egg-O, and they've done a double-sided flyer with the map race on one side, so as long as the weather holds it should be big and it should be a bit manic...
