Thanks for all the info Spookster. As you say, bib numbers have been available for several days now.
However, has anyone else noticed that the numbers have changed (+ 4 from S start and - 2 from N start) !
Now for my kit - flippers, mask, snorkle, body armour & strimmer.

Programme update: It has become apparent that although the Programmes were posted last week, they unfortunately weren't posted to the correct people.
Apologies for that. We will give everyone that ordered a Programme but has not received it either a copy at Enquiries on the day, or their money back. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can anyone shed any light on the fact that Fanni Gyurko and Mari Troeng are competing? Are they coming over specially?

Well, sorry to disappoint, but the BBC weather for Sheffield currently seems to suggest a sunny day on Saturday with just 'light showers' on Sunday.

MetCheck is now saying sunny with Showers Saturday and burning Sun on Sunday!
I'm not complaining!

The mechanic in the workshop next to Mr H's just asked him if he was going to the British Champs this weekend, he said "yes how did you know about that?" the guy said "it's just been on the radio" a national station - don't know which one - well done

I hope you enjoy the Arena, a lovely field with many clover, buttercup etc. for you to all trample on with a fantastic loooong run-in and excellent views of both the spectator and the peak district (south-westish.)
I've also heard that the woodland is in 'great condition' from the planners/hangers, and all the relevant authorities are very happy with the efforts made to make sure you're not going to bother the extremely rare buzzards and (non-existent) sparrowhawk.

Since when did Buzzards become rare? If I don't see or hear 3 or 4 a day I think there is something wrong.

I think someone is pulling your plonker with the Buzzard & Sparrowhawk. They are as rare as Robins & Blackbirds. The autorities loose credability.

The Red Kite at the JK is scarce, the Goshawk is uncommon. Sparrowhawks & Buzzards.....

I'm sure our friend in Cornwall will have eaten them
