I can't believe that Wills and Kate had trees in the Abbey - now everyone who comes to the ceilidh and quiz at SinS will think I got the idea from them I actually decided to use tree foliages to cover a couple of awkward steel pillars (good health and safety eh? ) but at least mine will have fairy lights on which is more than they had

Anyway folks - get your entries in 4 events in 3 days plus ceilidh, quiz, pig roast and real ale bar - it really doesn't get any better than this and the sooner you commit the more fun I can pay for - ceilidh tickets in particular are at a premium - and everything can be done on line - so while you've got a bit of extra time on your hands get your entry in

Well the quiz is a mysterious two parter (that means me and Mrs Furness have not quite sorted out the details yet) but basically part of it will be in paper form on sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday culminating in the final rounds in the barn on Sunday night after the urban race - but there may (and probably will) be separate prizes for both bits and a combined total! Extra value quizzing

Clearly she is a lady ahead of her time (but only just).
No matter, I'm sure this will make 3 great Bank Holiday weekends of O in a row, and this one a little closer to home for many of us.

I hope you entered Mr H, and some other H's too. Shock horror I've entered this event. Will be possibly first event for a few months. Intention was to get fit for this big challenge but...... The mountain bike and bits of the New Forest rather got in the way. Not even any swimming for last two weeks.

Oooo Springtime in Shropshire. Orienteering looking brilliant. Campsite excellent as ever. Quizzes, Ceilidh, Urban racing, Pig roast and real ale bar. Just how many more days do I have left to decide whether to enter, Mrs H?

If you google "sins", the orienteering website is the 4th on the list. Which is surely a big achievement already.

Stop Press: The Butcher's Grill will now be on site Friday evening as well as providing breakfasts and evening meals (including vegetarian option) all over the weekend. The Brewery are also keen to come on Friday night but I have to re-negociate the licence so watch this space
