The OS have revamped their Getamap site (which frankly was pretty dreadful) and introduced a new service accessible at http://www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/
There is a new seamless Zoom Map option along with aerial and leisure (which contains the 1:25000 and 1:50000). The Zoom Map function frustratingly stops you zooming into a useful level of detail. They have used a hotch potch of the new OS Vector Map District (free downloadable data) with OS Vector Map Local. Unfortunately they have not included the more detailed OS MasterMap (which can be found on numerous Local Authority websites, Elgin etc). Of course you are not allowed to derive data from any OS maps such as these without permission and possible agreements.
I was disappointed in the aerial coverage - have a look at NN646006 at various zoom scales. There is a very untidy match where they have aerial photography and where they don't (satellite images).
As well as not really doing what they do best better (if that makes sense) the webpage now has links to news, weather, featured brands etc. If someone can set up a voting system on a scale of 5 I would give it 2.

The requirement to use the Microsoft Silverlight plugin is a hell of a barrier to entry - and I'll therefore give it zero of out 5.

I wondered what that thing that looked a bit like Flash was.

I received an email from the OS today telling me that New Ordnance Survey Leisure is Live. Only just obviously!

I think I heard recently that even Microsoft were going to give up on Silverlight.

You do not have Microsoft Silverlight installe
Nope - and whilst there's nothing else I need it for, and other online mapping sites I don't think I'll bother, thanks. Never mind.

Yes, I've seen that on a couple of occasions too, Paul.
