Re: British Sprint and middle closing date
Sorry - There also seems to an odd distribution on W14. Yesterday when visited it had a heat distribution of 2:3:4 with one person still to be assigned. Now it shows 2:4:4. Is that a mistake? You have my sympathy with the job!!!

Does all this mean that the published start times are still provisional - and we need to check again later in the week?

All changes to start times are being notified directly to the people concerned.

Re: British Sprint and middle closing date
Perhaps the biggest error is allowing people to enter late and to be sympathetic to requests for start time changes. Certainly would make life a lot easier if we didn't. Mind you that would have meant two GB senior squad members not getting a run at the sprint champs. Most changes (well over 50) have been a result of these.

Tough cookie to the GB Squad then.... it's a National Championships and if they can't organize themselves to enter then they don't deserve the opportunity.... and that includes you Rocky... you dozy git

Re: British Sprint and middle closing date
Out of interest, will both the Qualifier and the Final from the sprint event both count for the ranking list (as 2 separate races)?

....and how will it be scored from a Masters' point of view?

Re: British Sprint and middle closing date
Heats and Finals should be ranked separately (so in total there will be something like 25 ranked races: 12 heats and 13 or 14 finals) - nothing in Appendix K suggests otherwise.
Dunno exactly re Masters Cup, but as it's only in the cup as one event, and aggregating heats and final times would be perverse, I'd assume it's based on the Finals only, with the winner of the B final for any given class listed after the final finisher in the A final for that class.

that's how it should work given that's how the sprint champs placings are worked out, especially as Master's Cup is scored on points per position.

Heat and final courses will be ranked separately. In the next day or so a strange dummy event will appear on the BOF fixtures list to enable this.
Can't comment on UK Masters, UK cup etc

Greywolf has it absolutely correct. How else could it be scored?
