Great event - tough race, mixed forest, good map (if a little fiddly here and there) and good courses. Unfortunately I couldn't read the map in second part - thick forest and dark clouds (and rain) made normal O style impossible, maybe I'll have to act my age in future (7.5k map looked a whole lot easier to read!)
Congratulations to FVO for a top race.

Re: Stirling SOL
I enjoyed my course too, and am now one race ahead in my mini-series against the President of SOA. This is despite losing at least 5 minutes in an attempt to keep my glasses free of mist and rain. A head torch would have been useful and I might carry one next time I'm out!

Re: Stirling SOL
Agree, excellent course in two quite small areas of good forest. Very enjoyable apart from having to get changed in the freezing rain afterwards.
Routegadget was up very quickly
but the Brown course has the incorrect course shown, so it's not possible to add my route
.

uh oh, that's a horrible one to fix now that lots of people have added their routes to other courses if my memory serves me... (whoever uploaded it left the drop down to match courses as short brown rather than brown)

Probably the best fix now is to add the Brown course (only) to RouteGadget as a separate event.

Yes. You certainly wouldn't want to delete everyones' routes that are entered already by resetting the event.

Agree, great event, great area.
Glad i did a midweek club even there last year cos the first part had some very similar legs. The north bit must be pretty difficult to do some novel planning on though.
Got my Brown GPS course up on Routegadget. Nobody to compare with though

Yes there is! Our webmaster/Routegadget man has worked some magic and the Brown course is now there (whilst retaining the other courses and routes added....) - there are already three others for you to compare with

Why did I do that...

Jarko responded to an email within the hour at lunchtime today with the technique....
so, not too difficult after all
You can set the event up up as new event on your laptop or as new dummy event to your RG site. then copy paste, replace brown course setup (one row) with the correct one from the new dummy event. Files are "radat" and "ratapisteet". That should do. You can see the row id from "sarjat" file.
