Was excellent today. 3 courses planned, free start time, run in any order.
Good map, good area, good courses. More events like this please!

Re: Nottingham Uni sprint
Yes, really good event. The "start when you like" format was very pleasant and relaxed - by far the best approach I've seen for organising urban races in small fast areas. Orienting the maps correctly in the boxes was a particularly thoughtful touch.
Since this was just my kind of course (lots of handrails, fair amount of climb and very few pesky trees) I was pleased with my runs. Will it count for ranking points?

Re: Nottingham Uni sprint
This event was superb. I usually leave 'sprint' races to the family but decided to give the short course (2 x courses totalling 5.1k) a go. Loved the relaxed format - start when you are ready. Also thought the map superb. Thanks to everyone concerned.

The answer looks to be yes, although you (and many others ) would have had more points and less enjoyment by not doing course C !

Re: Nottingham Uni sprint
Looks like I would have got around 80 - 90 more points if I had done the Short.
Not complaining though as I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses.
(on Long my score does not make my top 6, on Short 52 or more extra would have done).

Rest of family came home raving about this - very sorry to have missed it due to work requirements. Planning looks very clever to get a lot of variety from the three courses. Particularly enjoyed the simple format - just one male and one female class, all based on same courses - which has been excised from next week's sprints.

You're right - course C cost me about 70 ranking points even though it was my best of the three! I have a friend who mutters darkly about how the ranking scheme favours not just sprints, but short sprints.
Still, very pleased that I did all three. Definitely. Yes I am.

Sorry to be pedantic, but 1 male and 1 female class? Not in the results I saw
