I say rule with an iron fist. NO MERCY.
In truth, i would be very surprised if only one person mispunches. The C final will be all those who mispunched. Although if there was one person who I would put money on mispunching it would be Kris Jones.

it would useful - for those of us planning to use public transport - to have a grid reference for the assembly area, so we could go there directly. (An old map would be useful for routefinding from Maidenbower too

Grid reference for third portaloo from the left: TQ314358
Jon, if you are going to walk/bike in from Maidenbower then it's OK to use Standinghall lane from the north - but not from the south.

Is Standinghall Lane the footpath next to the assembly field? I was thinking of walking in from Crawley station via Worth Lodge Farm.

Standinghill lane is the N/S track - you can take this (by bike or foot) heading South from the bend in Turners Hill Road at TQ315365. Assembly area will be on the left just past the string course. You can reach this GR by using the cycleway that heads east out of Crawley via Worth Lodge farm without entering the competition area.

I see the final details are now available but no mention of the start lists - does anyone know when these will be published, please?

Great. Interesting to see that the heat allocations have also been published. Looking forward to it.

There's no compulsion in the Competition Rules to make the heat allocation secret. Perhaps there should be? Discuss ...

Re: British Sprint and middle closing date
Just looking at the entry numbers for the 2011 Sprints:
454 men and 274 women = 828 overall
In 2010, there were 378 starters at the British Elite Sprint Champs and 270 at the British Sprint Champs, or 648 in all.
Given that some last year ran at both events and are therefore counted twice in the 648 figure, does the 828 entry for 2011 represent a big vote of confidence in favour of the new format of the event?
