I'm sorry, how is this relevant at all? Its still the British university orienteering championships not the British university hold hands and sing Kumbayah championships. Its been a couple of years since I was a student and close to a decade since I was an elite orienteer. I don't think I ever scored for Edinburgh while I was studying there. Yes there are participation issues in university orienteering but devaluing the national championships is not the way to fix them.
