We definitely have something BUCSworthy for you at the relay. A WOC standard planner and a controller who definitely wouldn't have the last control at the top of a 5m cliff and the finish at the bottom (unlike last time). if only because there is no such convenient cliff

Nice to see a few novice entries - always a good thing Though please note this doesn't mean Edinburgh doesn't have beginners - ours will be out doing the Womens B and Mens B courses at the weekend - a fantastic sign of how quickly they have picked up the sport this year. (Please note this is nothing against SHUOC - I'm sure they also have beginners running the more technical courses too! )
And as for who will win, I obviously believe in my wonderful EUOCcers as they are amazing - all of them - but a good bit of competition is always healthy, whoever its from!
Also fab to see 13 different unis (if I have counted correctly) taking part this weekend - many of whom travelling a long way up from 'down south'!

So how many do you need for a full team Scott? (and do they all have to run in the A classes)?

Here's how the scores are calculated as outlined in the document written by David Rosen about how to organise BUCS. So in answer to Mrs H's question, you need 3 men and 3 women. And they only count if they run the A courses.

The overall Team result is calculated on the basis:
• Adding the placings of the three best men and women s individual competitors to the placings (multiplied by three) of its placed men and women s relay teams.
• Every missing runner is treated as though they finished one place behind the last finisher.
• If a university has no place in a relay competition, it is deemed to have finished one place behind the last placed team.
• The university with the lowest aggregate score is awarded the overall team championship.
