Does anyone have the cable+cradle for a Garmin 305 that they don't need any more? i.e. your 305 has died or been broken? My cable/cradle seems to have given up the ghost and it'd be good to find a replacement.
Happy to pay+pay postage / pick up at an event.

Re: Garmin 305 Connector
Are you sure it is the cable/cradle? I had a problem with my 205 - the computer failed to recognise it - no problem with the cradle. We looked on the Garmin website and found that it was a common problem that the connectors failed inside the device. We contacted Garmin and they replace/repaired the device and sent it back to me.
Good luck.
Good luck.

pretty sure it is, borrowed another cradle/cable from a friend which worked perfectly
What I haven't done is tried mixing the cables/cradles... job for tonight. but if anyone had any spare they didn't need I'd gladly take off their hands

I had a problem with my 205 not charging properly in the cradle (it would show as charged but then go to "low battery" after a few minutes use); gently cleaning the contacts on the Garmin and the cradle seems to have fixed this, so that could also be worth a try.

Mine had even worse corrosion so I did some crude soldering, which worked fine until the other contacts corroded away...

Good read, mine is charging fine and downloading fine if connected to a 'working' docking cradle. It could be a loose/corroded pin on the docking station (although having an issue there is far less likely than the watch which goes through bogs and has my sweaty wrist next to it for hours on end), I'll have a go at fixing it tonight.
