BBC filming orienteering (Scotland)
Serious request this. I cannot go into too much detail on Nopesport but we (Scottish Orienteering Association) are looking for a W20/W21ish Elite to take part in a short bit of filming for the BBC (probably bit to camera + running around in GB O kit) in Aviemore area (outside WOC 2015 embargo area) on Fri 11 Feb. Lift available on Thu (Fife? area) if not local, probable accommodation Glenmore Lodge to be confirmed. Hilary Quick and Colin Matheson are organising. Please contact me colin.matheson@scottish-orienteering.org if you are interested or know of anyone who might be interested. Hilary is at the Coaching Conference so contact her there if required.

Still looking - M or W Elite will do! Will pay reasonable expenses - now confirmed that Dougie Vipond (Adventure Show and ex-Deacon Blue) will take part!

Pleased to say a leading Scottish orienteer (who posts on Nopesport) has agreed to go for glory. Look out for the Adventure Show in March!

Re: BBC filming orienteering (Scotland)
Our star runner did a brilliant job with the filming today and the programme will be really good. Triple Echo, Hot Aches Productions and the BBC were all involved! Thanks also to Hilary Quick for her bit to camera - my own bit was probably rubbish. I will post up details when the show goes out.

If you hadn't seen the SOA and British Orienteering websites note that The Adventure Show starring Mark Nixon will be aired on BBC Scotland on Tue 8th March and can be seen south of the border on Sky 990, FreeSat 970 and probably on iPlayer. Thanks to Mark for helping me out on this and doing a really excellent job. Of course he was running around the forest with Dougie Vipond so I couldn't actually hear what he was saying most of the time so let's all hope he was a good boy.

Link possibly http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00zgz78 as that was the previous edition. Expect lots of trees, heather, unusual camera angles and a strong promotion for Scotland.

Quick reminder that The Adventure Show will be screened tonight (Tue). You will have to put up with a load of muddy bikers for most of the show I expect before Mark, Hilary and Colin take the perfect stage.

set to record on my Skyplus - I hope to burn a DVD from it - Colin can you access the "blooper reel" for use at the next Nato party?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Mark Nixon is occurring elite orienteers in the show. The show airs on BBC2 Scotland at 7PM Tuesday, 8 March, and can be seen south of the border from the Sky 990, Freesat 970 and probably on iPlayer.

It was so professional that there would be nothing worth showing. I don't think they were filming when Dougie Vipond sat down on a protruding branch as he prepared to interview Hilary. That would have been worth watching again.
The Dundee Courier mentions the orienteering feature on tonight's show but the Scotsman only mentions Strathpuffer.
