Of course, we could always have different time zones. One, say, in Scotland, another for the rest of us.

That would add an extra dimension to the 9:55 rush to the off-license...

An instant reaction to the very unrepresentative few replies so far is that rural areas want to change less than urbanites.

I'd favour just keeping summer time all year round. Then we wouldn't have to fiddle with clocks and si units.
