Nopesport Urban League 2011 speculation & other urban races

Come on you southern clubs, let see some more events for 2012, and pester the Nopesport league to include them.

Didcot Monday 27 August 2012 is on TVOC's calendar, although I see that it hasn't yet made the BOF fixture list.

Provisional Canterbury event date is Sunday 24th June, 2012 (so you can keep your diary up to date); probably with a sprint race nearby on the Saturday.

Yes, good point - this was partly the reason for my post - to get the date out in the public domain as early as possible (and avoid potential subsequent clashes). Guess the thing is to get events registered and on the fixture list as soon as a suitable date can be identified (and hope that the co-ordination through the Fixtures Secretaries is effective).

Yep, it was only when he said he'd entered the Edinburgh race (on the day after the race) and declared he was an M5 that I realised.

I'm still weeping about Edinburgh but how would I get from the airport or the railway station to Erskine - is it far?

I think Erskine is pretty adjacent to Glasgow airport like 2 to 3 miles

It's "next door" to the airport [Glasgow]. Literally one motorway junction away.

To be fair its about 6k by the road but its not the sort of road you'd want to walk on (at least not the part coming out of the airport)- less if it were possible to go cross country! Its about a 10min taxi from Paisley Gilmour St (nearest train station). There will be some more details on Oentries in the next day or two once I get my info checked so entries can go live.

Mind you Mrs H - dont expect Erskine to be any easier than Edinburgh!
