Which Sport Ident card to buy?

In what other system do higher version numbers become less good and less compatible?

Some functions within almost anything labelled "Microsoft" ?

When did buying a sport ident card become so complicated!?!? Even more to the point, why does it have to be complicated?

And we haven't even begun to consider what colour of v6 card will be compatible!

(anyone WAOC or EAOA able to tell me what stations they use?)

WAOC have version 8 control boxes (BSF8), but NB we sometimes use the EAOA ones as we don't as yet have enough of our own for a big event.

EAOA have two sets of control boxes: one set is version 8, the other set is older - not sure exactly which version but I don't think version 7 or 8.
