I can publicise the first few races if that'd keep the wolves from my door?

You could do what JK2011 is doing, and drip-feed the news releases to keep everyone's interest over a longer period

But it would be good to know that Edinburgh is race 1.

Things are starting to click into place when I become a (not very) competitive super vet next year

Have persuaded the wife that it would be good to visit long lost friends in Edinburgh towards end of January
Have bought myself a new GPS to replace one lost in Denmark, so I can confirm how slow I really do run in these Urban races
Have booked flights
Have entered the Edinburgh race
I will, hopefully, score some Masters cup points as a 1st year M55

But will I have the pleasure of also scoring a few NUL points.

Yes Edinburgh on January 22 will be the season opener once again, I might even make it there myself this year. Make a weekend of it with an event on Arthurs Seat the next day, if it ever sheds itself of snow...

You'll have to wait a while for race two I'm afraid, and another trip to Scotland, as the second counter will be in Erskine/Glasgow on April 2 - plenty of time to get some training in for that. Make a weekend of it, as FVO hold a SOL near Stirling on the Sunday.

Apologies for the delays, even without the snow I was massively snowed under this last month and now I'm just trying to sort out two final races within the league, which has a knock on effect on others being included... its frustrating me too!

I sympathise with your problems.

But really I think something purporting to be a national league should give people at least two months notice of events. Travel plans need to be made, visits to relatives worked around, etc etc.

So perhaps you could let us know the events for January and February at least?

Small amend to your list Spookster, the Guildford race is taking place August bank holiday weekend on the 27th, with a long O on the 28th. Well worth dragging yourself away from brashings for, and thankfully not clashing with the Harvester which I thought would have been strange.

Also, race in Scarborough on the 15th Jan.

Jan 9 - NATO - Cramlington

That event has been replaced by the Dipton Wood event postponed from early December because of deep snow on the approach roads. May happen at a later date perhaps.
(I'm organiser and I'm worried that Dipton will be still snow bound then but....)

Where did SHUOC's Dore on 17 July come from? Do you guys want it in the Yorkshire Urban League?

ShUOC wants to ensure the Harvester weekend has associated events before and after, so there will be a Saturday afternoon event and a Sunday morning event. Current plan is for an urban event in Dore on the Sunday, though I see it hasn't yet been registered with BOF.

Seabird - if you want to include it in the YUL, I expect that would be welcomed.
