Leading on from the Topless thread....

BUSF (as it was then) '93 at Durham, Paul McGreal & Neil Gard (and others - alcohol fug is clouding the memory ?Killian Lomas) returning from the social through the city centre, decided to race home naked. As Paul & Neil appeared from the undergrowth having taken a shortcut through the cemetry, lots of sets of flashing blue lights stopped them in their tracks. "The closest I have ever been to getting arrested" was Pauls comment after they had been allowed on their way. Good job Paul & Neil were talking in a loud voice to the police - once the blue lights had gone, several fellow streakers emerged from the nettles and brambles.

I'm sure there's many other streak-O stories to be told (probably all by men )

the nopesport launch involved a streak-o around edinburgh, from eddies flat on south clerk street round past the uni library, over the meadows and back to the flat... was highly amusing to watch indeed, especially as i conned some lassies into staying around for the "spectacle" : and the guy from the chippie next to eddies flat who looked on in dismay as a number of naked chaps kept running past his shop

oh and after that, they decided to do a naked mile - down the royal mile of course, sadly rocky just missed out on the 4 minute barrier...

Streak String o

many moons ago (88 ish) there was a British or a National event on Penhale.
Paul Mcgreal, Neil Gard and I were doing the string course on the Sunday.
We were camped next to it to defend it from the 'types' that often stay in that holiday camp.

After the pub we decided 'streak string o' would be good. I wimped and wore trainers ( the others went just like the day they were born) ,but the marram played havock with everything else....
Trouble was our time still got beat the next day by the kids.

This is about the same time as Dales Car (brown allegro) inherited its Dale and Any D17- windscreen sun visor + O bonnet, if anybody remembers.

oh yes rob, oh yes, including a big 'hello' to the owners of the gimle club hut who were happily picking berries at the time, and then were there on the front steps of the hut to greet us back, much to our embarassment....

night - o , 45mins+ running through the forest, then down a darn big main road, 8 lads, 2 girls, me with a head lamp (it was v dark in the forest!) then imagine the look of horror on Mr Swede's face when he slows down to offer Stampy or Rosser (i forget) a lift while they have their thumb up, only to find that they have more than just their thumb up !! (slightly altered for comicness, they just had their thuimbs up and were butt naked!)

very funny all round, especially the pre streak warm up, making sure EVERYTHING was loosened and ready for the run, i think Mr Goddard was in charge of the warm up session.

Mr inman felt he couldn't compete with the pace!!!

then there was the streak round the Ostgota 3 days campsite, with socks on c***s, the swedes all loved it, think the barbed wire fence crossing was a bit close to the bone though!!!

oh, them were the days.
