So which clubs have qualified for the final this year?
I think AIRE and SYO have after they tied in todays qualifying event. LOC and DEE also tied at a different event. Any others?

SO from the SE round
No SCOA club seems to have qualified from the SE, SC or SW heats so I guess that rule 4.3.4 comes into play and perhaps SN qualify as well?

How come? According to the published results TVOC scored 877 points at the SC round and SN scored 892 points in the SE round.
4.3.4 If any association is not represented in the Final after 4.3.2 and 4.3.3, then the
highest scoring club from that Association from any Preliminary Round match
will qualify, as long as they fielded a complete team.
would suggest that SN qualify - unless SN are not being treated as a SCOA club for this competition.

I would guess that is probably the case, but I don't know the details. It would seem a bit unfair if a club affiliated to two associations had twice the chance of qualifying as a "highest scoring non-winner" team - perhaps the YBT rules need amending so that clubs such as SN and SARUM are required to declare in advance which association they are competing as.

I can't see TVOC listed on the start list or any SCOA club for that matter!

Given the weather elsewhere I suspect there may be more than a few travel difficulties to be faced getting to the event for some of the clubs - good luck
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Re: Yvette Baker Final - Weather
I'm organising the YBTF at Hawkbatch Woods on Sunday. As things are at the moment, the forest is beautiful and we see no reason why the event should not go ahead as planned. Of course, if there is any change in the situation, I'll post another message here and also add updates to the Harlequins website http://www.harlequins.org.uk/

Hawkbatch YBTF is postponed
In the last few hours we have been in constant discussion with members of HOC and Mike Hamilton at BO. Mike Hamilton has recommended that the event is postponed. This is because of the severe weather conditions nationwide. The conditions at Hawkbatch itself are fine, however the concern is with regards to the risks posed by transporting large numbers of juniors across the country in snowy conditions.
We apologise for the inconvenience and any costs incurred.

Rachel,
Many thanks for letting us know now rather than the night before. A difficult decision for everyone involved in the event after all the work that has gone into it.
I'm sure there will be plenty of discussion to come about the re-scheduling of the final, age classes on courses etc.
