Yorkshire Night Events

I've looked on the YHOA website and on the club websites but I can't find a list. EPOC have a YHOA night league event listed as on a Sat night in January so I'm hoping there will be more. BO website doesn't seem to be searchable by "night events"
Can anybody help or is Lancashire just better organised and advertised (gauntlet thrown down)

Might suggest you come down to the South-east! Saxons and DFOK run a weekly night event series through the Winter months and we all get a weekly email alert of upcoming events in the region each week.

The bof web site not being searchable for night events is anoying as we do get an icon for night events..... putting 'night' into the event name box normaly gets what you want.

I see the Army have an event at Greenham common tonight and Hoc have an event tomorow Kinver way. Maybe I should put my battery on charge.

The YHOA night league used to be hosted on the Ebor website but I can't see it on their new site. I'll try and get in touch with league coordinator.

The Aire event in the YHOA night league is at The Chevin on Sat 12 February 2011.

Aire also have weekly Weds night events, alternating parks/woods and streets. The format is a 45 min score event with mass starts at 7pm. Tonight's is Idle Streets, North Bradford (home of the famous Idle Working Men's Club).

Many Thanks for all the info. My Saturday nights are filling up nicely!
Midweek it's harder to travel that little bit further after work and on a "school night" but Saturdays I can set off that bit earlier and get my fix. Then home for homemade soup + a well earned beer.
Other half may need advance warning of a busy social calendar looming and I'm thinking of asking Santa for a new and better headtorch - will certainly get used when I factor in the NW Night league as well.
This will be the 2nd year that I go a night event, skip the homemade soup and go to my work Christmas do afterwards - well the meal is at 9.30pm so I figure I may as well!

Without wishing to hijack this thread, it is worth pointing out that the Northern Night Champs is being hosted by SROC on 15th Jan, so nicely slotting in between two of the Yorkshire events. The venue is Traitor's Gill, never before used for an open orienteering event. The terrain is a mixture of fast open fell with some old quarry workings and a few patches of woodland in the valleys.

Entries (£5 for BOF adults, £3 juniors/students) are open on Fabian4 and this flyer gives details.
