After winning the 2010 JHI in Scotland and VHI in Wales, England are on "home terrain" for the 2010 Senior Home Internationals this weekend.

The relays are being organised by BAOC on Saturday. The individual follows on Sunday, at the November Classic organised by SOC. The Scotland team and England team both look strong, and Scotland are going for a third consecutive SHI win. However, my money is on England to win and achieve the "treble" of home internationals this year.

(p.s. I haven't forgotten that Wales and Ireland will also be competing, but I can find no information about their teams...)

whereas this year the Scots sabotaged themselves; all 4 scoring English teams finishing before the first Scots team (with no excuses provided by the Welsh organisers).

My first JK, it did seem a long way at the time, but the Elites did 4mins/Km.

According to the Final Details this entitled 'Long Black'.
There is also a Black course which is designated as the correct course for M21.

If I were an M21 looking to run the Interland Selection race, I wouldn't know whether to enter Black or Long Black...

I don't think 'Long Black' appears anywhere in an official Guideline.

It was clearly advertised on the event flyer that M21s wanting to be considered for Interland selection should enter Long Black.

it's not especially clear, depends where you split up the black description:

it's actually (probably):

(SHI & Interland selection race M20) + M21

but it could be construed as:

SHI & (Interland selection race M20 + M21)

nowhere in the long black description does it specify M21, just men open. this might be more clear if you know the interland rules, forgive me for being Scottish and having no clue in this department!

Here's what the pre-event flyer (rather than the final details) said:

Interland Senior Team Selection race entries;
Those athletes wishing to be considered for selection should enter the following courses;
Senior Men – Long Black
M20 – Black
Senior Women – Brown
W20 – Short Brown

I think that's fairly unambiguous.
