This years' 25 manna relay, held in Löt, Vallentuna, just north of Stockholm provided one of the most enthralling finishes ever seen at the event. Six teams were in the running for victory with only three controls left of the 25th and final leg. All will be wishing they'd read the map rather than keeping a tight eye on each other as the runner trailing in seventh position, Stora Tuna's Pavlo Ushkvarok, kept his head and took advantage of a grove miss by the leading pack to sneak in under the radar and claim the club's third victory in the event and first since 1991. Just goes to show you shouldn't give up until you've crossed the finishing line....

If anyone needs a demonstration that orienteering is, indeed, a sport then this was a prime example of it at it's best
