Well done AIRE!
And thanks to HALO.
I thought the courses were good for the area being used, but they could have been a bit longer with it being so fast. It was a nice area to run in, but I didnt really enjoy the orienteering because it was more of a cross-country race, with the navigation not being particularly difficult and there being a stream of people in front of you to follow almost the whole way round the course there was little need to look at your map.
I felt that a 30 minute cross-country race wasnt sufficient to justify the 9-10 hour round trip that I made with my club. Shouldnt events like this be held in the midlands so they are in easy reach of everyone? What do other people think?

yep, courses should definitely have been longer, though i don't know what the people at the slower end of the courses think.
the problem with the location, as always, is the further south you go the further the Scots and northerners have to travel, the further north you go the further the southerners have to travel. over the years the spread of all races balances out (isn't that why events like the JK and BOC are done by every region?)

I think courses were fine - meant you were racing flat out all the way round, thinking fast, running hard - all good! Though I only travelled a 5 hour round trip so who knows..
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Was well chuffed today- found out that my frisbee (£10!) was got out the tree near the finish area. I hope you all had a good laugh at our feeble climbing up the tree + throwing sticks attempts. We needed the might of Peter Hodkinson half way up the tree with tent poles fixed onto one another to get the aerobie down. Alls well that ends well!
