Ocad 9 needed!
I'm after a copy of Ocad 9 for non-commercial use - just as a course setting tool. I have a lot of Ocad 9 files, but since my laptop died last week, and I have managed to aquire a 2nd hand PC as a replacement, all of the Ocad 9 files are unaccessible. Unless....... anyone knows if there is a way to convert Ocad 9 back to Ocad 8 - which I have, up and running. Cheers.

I thought you could save OCAD files as an earlier version? Obviously not, else you wouldn't have asked.
Edit: Der! Just realised you don't have v9 installed to open up these files

Re: Ocad 9 needed!
I presume you had OCAD 9 running on your laptop that died. So can't you just reinstall your copy of OCAD 9 on your replacement PC, and reactivate it with your original license number? I believe this is possible, and a perfectly valid thing to do. See the FAQs at http://www.ocad.com/en/support.htm, under "Can I reinstall and activate OCAD when I buy a new PC or if I had a hard disk crash?"

Re: Ocad 9 needed!
As someone who has, just this morning, reloaded OCAD9 and updated from the OCAD website; I can state that it is an easy task. So unless you haven't got an OCAD9 disk, get going! If you have lost your original disk, I'd advise contacting OCAD - try grs@ocad.com (Gian-Reto Schaad) and ask for advice - the response time is usually gratifyingly quick!
