There was a cycling/running duathlon recently using the 12km of new bike and mountain bike tracks in Philips park, Prestwich, Manchester.
Including the whole of Philips park Omap and the surrounding Omaps along both sides of the Irwell river to the North and now to the South also, there is plenty of space for a possible MTBO event.

I wondered about that - I did a mountain bike XC arce two weeks ago round there and it would be perfect. Is it mapped - is it MDOC ?
