A mistake at number 4 though - she's been caught.

What's the best route choice 3-4 do you reckon? Sarah's going low but I think I would go up high to the path and count the knolls in?

Looks like Sarah's starting an interesting route I hadn't seen to 5 - round the tracks the whole way nearly?

Sarah has been caught by Kazlauskaite, who currently has the fastest time at 7.
Edit: although the two of them are now taking completely different route choices to 8.

Rachel seems to have pulled back a bit of time since her early mistake - through the spectator in tenth.

Has Simone missed 14?
Edit: apparently not, just an unusual route to 15.

Argh, does anyone have anything other than GPS working? What a time for everything to crash!

No, my "official" TV is broken as well, but the free Swiss TV is still working.
Looks like Simone's interesting route to 15 might have cost her the gold...

Well that great. Up at 6 to miss the key moment in the whole Women's race. Really poor.
Edit. I sound like those ITV guys that missed the goal in the world cup don't I? Oops.

Looking at this map, I think GG could do some serious damage today! Go on!

Looks like that knoll at 15 was the critical leg - Niggli and Hausken both losing out on it - agonising watching Hausken get within 5-10m and then running away from it. The side by side tracking with Kauppi live really showed how Niggli lost it there. It's on the men's course as well, although the leg to it doesn't look quite as tricky.

GG has picked up Morrison - a really good runner. Let's see what they can do!
