I'd have to disagree! They have to be the odds on favourites, but that doesn't make it any less intriguing as to whether they will make it. That's what's so fascinating about orienteering: even at this level, it's so easy to make mistakes. Even with the Swiss-German commentary (why can't they speak German the way the French speaking Swiss speak French?!), I found the TV coverage of the Long race fascinating, although I don't know what on earth it would look like to a non-orienteer, and am really looking forward to this race.

But, they are both awesome*!

(*I normally hate the use of that word, but in this case I think it really does apply).

It's not a particularly taxing course is it? Looks like a pretty area on the screen though.

Yeah - like the qualifier, it's not quite how I normally imagine a middle race. Lots of paths on this area as well, although from the video it does look like it could be pretty tough underfoot in places.

It may not be the most complex but dont underestimate the trondheim terrain, particularly the green. ive been lost for many an hour.

Yeah, that clearing in the green doesn't look like much fun!

The loop after the spectator also looks like it could be quite tricky - I guess it's pretty telling that the first two runners are going the long way around on the path to 14.

The selection of music on the commentary is particularly bizarre today.
