Kris has the new fastest time - 1.31.20. However, it'll track up out there with an expected winning time of 72ish mins - However, Pete's off 2nd last...

Middle Qualification today, starts from 9am (10am local). Top 20 from each of three heats go through to final. Hopefully there'll be live results on the JWOC page.

Re: JWOC Starts Tomorrow!
Saves wasting effort- Check your time before you start (as it is middle presumably it will take less than an hour) and only run if you've got a good one!
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Sounds like a way to fit in with early entry deadlines - and you'd only have to feed it to your web browser.....

Anyone know how the starts were allocated? The Danish Sprint winners (Ida Bobach and Rasmus Thrane Hansen) are both starting at the end of their heats, but seeding doesn't seem to be consitent, with several other medal winners starting early.

Re: JWOC Starts Tomorrow!
OK, so no live or radio results, but at least the organisers are uploading results at the finish quickly and frequently.
Latest results page
Ralph is 1st of 11, which is a great start! Jamie 6th of 11, Mairead 3rd of 9, Rebecca 4th of 9. Qualification is very roughly the top half of the women and top third of the men, so it's looking reasonably good so far. Fingers crossed.

Re: JWOC Starts Tomorrow!
@PG
Each nation is given 2 early, middle and late start times. These are randomly distributed within that start block. You then get to nominate your athletes for the spot.
i.e. Peter Hodkinson was nominated to be one of GBRs late starters yesterday, whilst Jamie Steveson was nominated as early.
However you don't know where in this block you are going to start until the lists come out. I've been a middle starter and started 6 mins before our late starter because I was on of the last in the middle block and he was on of the first in the late block.
