Re: Scottish Champs 2010
If I had been the results sec for yesterday it wouldn't have been done until this evening as today wasn't a bank holiday in Fife so once home I was getting everything ready for work and then at work all day today. I think it's nice to have the basic results on the evening of the event but am happy to give 48 hours for the trimmings to appear. That's still speedy compared to many sports. Kinnoull hill race results took about a fortnight to appear and they just have to give a list of names and times. We're an impatient lot.

Great Area, Good Planning and fine weather. Worth the 6 hr drive and I beat Graeme on home turf
Thanks to all the volunteers.

You beat a man with a broken heel, well done

On the results topic...
I always aim to have results/RG up before most people have reached home, if you do that you make sure most people who check will upload their routes to RG, which is in the best interests of everyone. If you leave it later than this people often won't go back and check if it's up in order to upload their route.
I'd say it's best to leave BOF results for a few days until you are sure everything is ok as long as it's done before the wed evening
As frog says other sports as crap at results, I once waited nearly a week for a professionally run adventure race to get results up, which was totally unacceptable. I don't see any reason why a results team can't upload results within an hour or two of an event, unless it is very very remote. I don't see any reason to not provide the best possible service, volunteer or not, as it puts our sport in a good light.

I'll take any win against Graeme
I forgot to mention his injuries
