Yes, there is a trophy event, but let's face it, the Compass Sport Cup is the daddy of the weekend.

Hey . . .to those of us in small clubs the Trophy event is quite important, and probably just as closely fought. We make up in quality what we lack in quantity. :)

Ahh very clourful of u Matt!
I'm backing Sheffield Orienteering Society to win the trophy!
If everyone thinks NOC are going to walk the Cup easily just due to their reputation think they might get a shock as could be quite close this year. AIRE looking quite strong. and NOC s usuual junior strength only saw them 3rd in YBT.

Looking at who's running the course 1 for NOC, one good bit of news for us is at least i won't count like in the qualifying.

having said that i'm fairly sure NOC won't walk it like last year, for one thing the other club's in the final are a lot better this year and might actually send full teams.

I think it will be close- we wont have Helen Palmer or Alison so our usually awesome girls will be weakened but dont worry cos weve got Bowen!!Surely hes unbeatable after his 32mins fastest leg on the M18 relay. Also, they reduced the junior numbers counting after increasing them for only one year which is bad for NOC. But im happy with running 4k!

the finals somewhere between Lincoln and Grimsby. travelling there and back in a day from gloucestershire could be fun!

My best guess would that be he started in a mini mass start cos the first two runners took along time and they havent corrected his time because his time will have started when the 2nd leg finishes.
