Sprint Championships - Gosport
I had been wondering when there would be some details of the forthcoming Age Class Sprint Championships but I now see that HMS Sultan appears to be currently off the East coast of Iceland (according to the BO event map). Lets hope it returns to its base in Gosport before the event and the organisers can release some event details

Well presumably Her Majesty's Ship could well be off Iceland. Let's hope it's back in Gosport by June

HMS Sultan is apparently a "stone frigate". That doesn't sound very moveable, let alone manoeuvrable.

I am fully aware that HMS Sultan is not a real ship, but imagine orineteering in an old battleship, clattering around in dob spikes
Mind you it would be some multi level map.

Perhaps SLOW can be persuaded to incorporate HMS Belfast into the London City map?

Quiz question: on what target are HMS Belfast's guns trained?

Just to reassure everyone, I was also aware of the true nature of HMS Sultan

Mr Chips - is it Highbury or Stamford Bridge? The houses of Parliment are too obvious!

I don't know if they still are, but it used to be on Scratchwood Services - presumably ready to shell northern invaders on their way to London!

I think there already is an O-map of HMS Belfast - it was used at the Rat Race a few years ago.

AWK - you win the prize, although it is now called London Gateway Services. Also a bonus for answering the intended follow-up question.
Ba-ba - there may be some truth in what you say, but in fact I learned it on a visit to the Belfast some years ago.
Another question, triggered by HMS Sultan: wasn't there an instance in WW2 of German propaganda radio claiming to have sunk HMS something-or-other (also a shore base) in the North Sea? Just a vague memory, probably also originating from QI.

But that's only the fore guns.
The aft guns must be trained on somewhere in the general direction of Dartford

Taking a look at pictures of the Belfast, I reckon it would probably be Tower Bridge! Whilst the forward guns are at what must be maximum elevation, the aft guns are probably as low as they can go.
