Savernake Forest

How lovely to run in a forest with no undergrowth, beautiful trees and an event in the style of when I first started orienteering! Pin ounching, timed starts, "English" control descriptions and no pressure. First time I've had all 3 courses offered on the same map, but this solved the issue of how many maps of each course to print. Thanks very much to North Wiltshire Orienteers.
Apparently Brasher and Disley wanted to use this forest back in the 60's when they realised it's potential. NWO are hoping to extend the map as only about a third of the forest is currently mapped.

Google shows acres and acres of largely deciduous forest - I suppose there must be access problems as this looksto have potential for many unique events.
