Dave Stubbs

In case anyone who knew Dave was not aware, the following item was posted on the JK2010 website:

“We regret to announce that, while running in the Sprint Race at Bicton College on the first day of the Jan Kjellstrom Orienteering Festival on Good Friday 2nd April 2010, Dave Stubbs of Berkshire Orienteers collapsed and died. Dave had orienteered for many years and was both an active competitor, organiser and event controller. I'm sure all orienteers will wish to join in sending condolences to his wife Katy, herself the controller of the day’s racing, and thank Dave for his tremendous contribution to British Orienteering.”

Dave, who only returned just over a week ago from an extended period of work overseas, was also a former Chairman of BKO. Our thoughts are with Katy, our Chairman, at this time.

Dave (and Katy) controlled several events that Di and myself organised and it was always a pleasure to work with him.
A very sad loss to orienteering. Our thoughts are with Katy at this difficult time.
