A slightly puzzling thing. Short Brown 5.6k was officially only 250m of climb - actually it was more like 465m.

I did 430 according to the elevation correction plugin in Sportstracks. I always assumed that it was a misprint in the final details but was prepared to be pleasantly surprised. Alas not.

My GPS recorded 436m (but I know my route wasn't the best) and a quick manual count of contours from the map came up with 370m on short brown.

It's been very interesting looking at the amount of variation in route choice on many legs. Very often most routes are very close on almost every leg, but not here. The planner certainly taxed the decision making brain cells, it's a pity that I'm not sure where my one is!

Just to clarify - I'm not complaining about the climb. It's inevitable for decent courses in that area.

I also assumed it was something like a misprint, but my question was whether that would affect the ranking points available - apparently not.
