Just had a quick look at the BO web site > Find a club and noticed that between HOC and INT there is a blank cell, was there a club there before or is a new one soon to appear?

Sadly, I suspect that it is IOC who have decided not to renew their BOF affiliation.

It would be a real shame if the club at Imperial has died. They seem to have been small but steady for the last couple of years, and they brought a decent number to the Oxford race in November, but I haven't really seen them around since - there were a few at BUCS, although not the numbers they had in 2009.

Seeing as we're having a vote at the AGM on reforms to make the BOF affiliation criteria even stricter: should BOF be offering some form of free affiliation/support/official recognition for small (all?) student clubs, who might otherwise struggle to stump up the £50?

As there are so few of them (not enough to be recognised by the UAU and to attract funding), I have suggested to them that they might look to affliate to LOK or SLOW as a group until they regenerate the numbers required to attract UAU funding. I like Scot's thinking though and would support a proposal to that effect.

I agree with Scott too - we need to encourage university clubs.

I thought IOC was an abbreviation of International Olympic Committee - shame we've lost them as BOF members.
