Outer Hebrides
Is anyone aware of any POC's or O maps of any of the Outer Hebrides? I'm off there over Easter for a week long tour and was interested to see if anything was out there on the O front....

A week should be long enough to map something.

You're a hard task master, especially as I'm not on any one island more than 2 days.....

As per a previous thread, the Uist outdoor centre in Lochmaddy has (or at least, use to have) a non-ISOM map of an area which included a POC, & the Stornoway Castle grounds have been mapped and used for O competitions.

Many thanks for that - have emailed the OC at Uist. Any idea how I might get hold of the Stornoway castle map...?

Lewis and Harris would make a great base for a purple thistle long weekend if someone did map a couple of areas. Harris is probably my favourite bit of Scotland.
Not sure where we'd all stay though, and whether we'd have pickards and threats of eternal damnation for the sunday event.

Try organisers of Hebridean Challenge for O maps of Stornaway Castle. Joe Faulkner is planning this year.

It's Lews Castle in Stornoway, by the way. http://www.hebrideanchallenge.com/ or http://www.nav4.co.uk/ for Joe Faulkner.
