I noticed at the weekend that flyers were out for the Carlisle urban race, the first of the Nopesport Urban League races next year (6th February 2010).
Are any other races confirmed as being in the league yet...?

Only 3 hours from London to Carlisle by train, and cheap tickets go on sale in mid-November, so I might be making the trek up there.

Carlisle is the only one which has been confirmed - mainly as they were keen to ensure a clear date and had to get agreement with council very early this year. Worth a trip north too, as the Tim Watkins Trophy will be the following day.
We'll be confirming the whole series ASAP (hopefully before Sheffield).

I think 2 fixtures are now confirmed as being in the 2010 league:
Sat 30 Jan - Edinburgh
Sat 6 Feb - Carlisle
Other urban race dates that are in the BOF fixture list, which I guess are possible league events, are:
Sat 27 Mar - Pickering
Sun 11 April - Nottingham
Mon 31 May - York
Sun 27 June - Saltburn Valley
Sat 4 Sep - Sheffield
Sun 5 Sep - Lincoln
Sat 11 Sep - Bradford
Sun 12 Sep - Otley
Sat 18 Sep - London
Sun 3 Oct - Warwick
plus perhaps Stockport, Chester, Oxford and Cambridge?

For info: At the request of Nope I have collected and clarified via Association Fixture Secretaries Urban event information for 2010.
So Nope should have all the current known information.

I heard murmurings there might be a Durham race next summer.

Oh this is so excititng - do you suppose it's going to be like the 12 Days of Christmas or an orienteering advent calendar with TNS revealing a new event each day
(Mmm London - Sept 18th - I guess the kids will be taking themselves back to uni next year

I believe there's not going to be an Oxford City Race next year.

Well I corresponded with the organiser on Monday when trying to decide suitable train times to book and he certainly didn't give any indication that it wasn't - I've booked the tickets now so it better be
