Re: Sheffield City Chase
So the chase starts at 2.00.
Is that base time or when the first runner goes off.
I want to get to Bramall Lane for 3.00.

Entries have closed, but latest from the organiser is:
"late entries strictly limited, anyone wishing to get an entry please email the organiser to check on availability of maps".
Start times for Prologue will be published soon, within the range 1020 to 1145.
Start times for Chase will be "Base time plus your prologue time", with different base times for each course, but all of them being quite close to 1400.

Re: Sheffield City Chase
Does anybody know where the Chase will start from? Is it the same start as the Prologue?

I don't know where the starts are, but I'm fairly sure they're not in the same place. According to the Shuoc website, "Final Details coming soon".

Re: Sheffield City Chase
Final Details will be heading out ASAP, as soon as they've been approved by the controller.
Assembly is at Hallam Union (i.e. the Hubs)
Prologue Start is ~1.7km from assembly. Prologue Finish is ~500m from assembly.
Chase Start is ~500m from assembly (we'll be running a 'walking bus' out to here, so you don't go dancing into the competition area!) Finish is at assembly.
All prologue start/finish routes will be taped, and map will be in final details. Maps of routes to chase start available at assembly.
Bibs will be worn for the event, so you'll have to head to assembly before you run.

Re: Sheffield City Chase
To quote Sophocles in your event final details could be considered a bit sophisticated. But to also quote Yoda from Star Wars... well that's just showing off!

Given that that quote comes from a speech in which Neoptolemus is advocating the superior honour to be gained from winning things by violence rather than by cunning, presumably it will be acceptable to trip up other competitors?
