I see that Oli Johnson and Rob Baker are doing Elite and I know that Doug Tullie and John Rocke are "going for it" on A but there must be loads more. With sponsorship from a company providing satellite communication and mention of video links to the finish it should be interesting viewing this weekend. I just wish I was there

Dave Prentice of TAY is doing the long score (His 100th OMM or something like that!) He had a great time last year, was very comfy and well fed having completed day 1 with no mishaps. I did wonder why we'd started having torrential rain.

But here, where you have re-posted your libellous statement which seems to imply that Oli and Rob have in some way deliberately broken the rules, a reponse must be given.

It's significant that you re-posted when they're not here to defend themselves, even though it would not even be necessary for them to do this as anyone who knows them (which obviously excludes you) would recognise that they are the last people who would ever do anything underhand.

By persisting with this, are you effectively saying there's no smoke without fire? In this case there's no fire, so once again you're wrong.

Where on earth do you get that idea, when I'm simply repeating what OJ posted on his training log? On that basis I can't see why OJ should feel the need to defend himself, when he was previously quite happy to admit to them running together.

Good luck to them, but as has been mentioned before, whilst it would seem those two probably have the pure speed over others, they don't have the experience of running that distance carrying kit that others do - bearing in mind that others mentioned are no slouches. Just to throw some different names in, I'd put my money on Higginbottom and Near who were theoretically the winners last year.
