Re: Nordics
i re-ran all the women at once at x30 speed. Watching the stragglers go off the map was fun, and Nillson(?) missing a whole butterfly loop...

Becks I hope if NOPE Team Banter 1 get gps tracked this weekend that people don't think having cruise control, an engine and a set of 4 wheels is cheating on your leg.

Re: Nordics
Real poor results from the British team today. Looks like tough terrain to master for the British born.
A quick analysis of a few of the Brits 'gps tracks' showed a tendency where as soon as they tried to take a route choice off the straight line it almost always ended in them making a big mistake. The trick in this terrain seems to be to run as straight as possible.

Re: Nordics
check out the splits. Bj took the 1st postition already at no.1, and by no.2 had built up a 10sec lead! He was still in qualifying position with just 3 mins of running left. Looks good for him for WOC when he gets 2 more months training behind him.
Otherwise what happened? Why such poor results for our men? This is where we should be pushing for medals.

Re: Nordics
Maybe they need the benefit of doubt? After all it's a new International Regime at BOF... and there is no lead coach and it was quoted on BOF website that GB are at the Nordics / World Cup to gain international experience with the season focus being on the World Champs & World Games. Lets hope that the PPP produced at WOC meets with the standards of the BOF vision and not the PPP dished up in Salo

Go orienteering in Lithuania......... best in the world:)

Looks like different things. Like you said, BJ went off too fast and faded. Scotia and Rhodri were quick enough, but lost out on big early errors. Its still early season: these things could be turned around.
The others have run well, but don't seem to be fast enough. They already have races in their legs, and sprint may not be their main focus.
Coming soon
