Closing date is 6th June - not many entries so far so don't miss out on a cracking weekend. I know it clashes with the Stockport race so there's lots going on that weekend.

Phil,
orienteers are, in the main, rubbish at entering before the last minute - I'm as guilty as everyone else.

Intent is to put 3 x 5 person teams from HH once we stop arguing about who is in what team (Edit 2 Jun 2214... and the arguing has been finished - 3 teams now entered)

we have 3 (possibly 4) other runners that I'd like to enter on the B course. I noticed that it says (£25 for a team of juniors on the B course' as opposed to the £50 - as we're students do we count for the junior rate here? Cheeky I know, but worth a pop!
also, as we're missing a few, may be some spaces available on the day.

Sorry not sure - not part of the organising team, Nick Dallimore is the co-rodinator nick@dallimore.org.uk. I'll send him an email on your behalf and post the reply here.

I too spent ages sorting out teams, but when entering all you have to do is declare what relay class you wish to enter (choice of 2 x A class or 4 x B class courses). I assume you declare the team runners nearer the time of the event.

A reminder to you all to enter the Clydach Terrace race on the Saturday afternoon as well. should be a good warm up.

Just to add that the first closing date for Clydach is Saturday 6th. Entries after this date are £2 more for a senior and £1 for a junior.

Changing the subject slightly, but still Harvester related. I still have a pile of Harvester map trees (~90) from the event in 2006. No organiser since has wanted them or wanted to travel up to Teviothead to collect them. I am seriously considering having a small bonfire as they are cluttering up one of my out-buildings! Any offers???

48 teams entered now. That compares favourably with last year's 60 teams given that it's a longer drive for many.

Yes quite pleased with the overall numbers. Interesting to note that it is the A course numbers that are down, whilst the B seems to have held up well.

Surprised that there are no Army teams

We'll be keeping entries open to the end of the coming weekend. So still time to get a team together.

A couple of long legs for the Juniors and handicap teams to get their teeth in to..

It's going to be a challenge to not get mass started:

Start 1.30
Mass start leg 2 - 3.00 am
Mass start leg 3 - 4.00 am

I took over 60 mnutes for 7.7Km in the daylight, although not elite I do not consider myself to be a slouch.

Looks to be a bit of high presure moving in for the weekend which will make almost everyone a bit thankfull.

I suspect there will be quite a bit of flexibility on the mini mass start front timing wise.

Anyone any opinions on the solution to the map issue problem. A new aproch as far as I remember and very good from the manpower point of view. I just hope everyone lives up to the trust.

Sounds like a really good idea on the map issue idea - means that there doesn't have to be people up at daft-o-clock in the map tent as well as the download!
The quarries must be bloody big if you have time to make a call on your mobile as you run off them!

also - the start times on the clydach terrace event - I got an email (as did several othrs I've spoken to) saying that my start time was 1-1.30, but the fabian start-list says we're in the 2-2.30 slot, which makes more sense as I ticked the late box. Emailing the organiser, but just letting people know...

Can offer choice of leg less the middle (short easy one)
