Re: biking in town
Don't think he would be faffing with the steps on the Rat Race.
The railings stunt he spends some time working on at the start is well cool.

Re: biking in town
I spotted him getting filmed playing around with the tree he backflips off while I was jogging round the meadows last week, but I didn't hang around to see him have a go. the bit where he jumps across the gaps between shop roofs is opposite my office, I still can't believe it when I walk past it. The crazy part is the landing zone& how quickly he had to brake before dropping down.

Re: biking in town
There were a couple of guys at Cliffhanger doing similar stunts last year.

Most of the "spring" for leaps and landings comes from the size of their tyres, which are huuuuge, and only inflated to a low pressure. Great video.

No, most of it comes from their legs, arms and body

Actually, we're both right. They use their legs, arms and body to compress the spring (tyre), which then reacts against the ground and gives them the huge leap. The size of the tyre makes bigger leaps and drops easier (but not easy! ).
