I'm sure SYO would do really well, but it would be a very expensive weekend.

SYO has had a team a couple of times in the last 10 years or so. We usually try to get in the top 100, but end up somewhere in the top 200. JOK have a team most years, i think. It is an expensive weekend, but it's worth it just for the incredible experience.

JOK haven't been in a while. I only went once, and it was indeed a fantastic experience.

But Jukola is bigger, better, warmer, even more expensive and since you only need seven easier to raise a team for.

For anyone thinking of going to Jukola (13th/14th June), once you've forked out for the flights, why not make a week of it and go to the Nordic Champs 2009 which are also in Finland (5th-10th June)? The Nordics are Long Saturday, Relay Sunday, Middle Tuesday, Sprint Wednesday (the last two also being World Cup races), and obviously for selected runners only, but there are also specator races on Sat, Sun and Tues. And if you are uber keen, you could also do the Forssa Games (11th June) - this is a WRE, short middle distance about 25mins winning time.
