While we are on the subject of seeded starts - I would just like to publicly thank the organisers of the Newcastle Sprint for introducing an unseeded block towards the end of the M/W20 starts for those of us who requested late starts because of travelling but whose unseeded along for the ride offspring (children seems such an inadequate word when you are talking about someone who is nearly a foot taller than you) were due to start some 2 and a half hours earlier because they happen to be on the same course as the elite on this one occasion.

I guess everyone in a similar situation, who doesn't make the final, will be entitled to a refund.??
