Toying with going to the Oringen for the first time possibly this year.
Just wondered if those who have previous experience of going might have anything to share? Will this year be better than next ?
Has anyone unearthed a good way of getting there ?
What would people recommend for accomodation ?
Anything appreciated
Thanks
Best way to the Oringen !

Re: Best way to the Oringen !
We are going.
Travelling by car through Denmark, as Ferry to Sweden is discontinued.
Booked Army Barrack dormitory for 10, quite cheap.
Area's are all very close this year so should be within reasonable distance from central facilities (walking). Whereas last year required bus journeys.
Area looks nice but will probably be a little samey as all 5 days are essentially on the same area. Although I could run the same Swedeish terrain for a year and not get bored.

Re: Best way to the Oringen !
Last year we flew and travelled through Sweden by train, and used the Oringen buses during the event itself. Trains in Sweden are cheaper than in the UK, but are slower and are no more reliable. The Oringen website is advertising 50% off SJ train fares. If you are taking children they are only charged a nominal 5Kr for any journey if accompanying adults.
This year there shouldn't be any need for transport during the event - all the races are within walking distance of the campsite, although it might be quite a long walk on a couple of days.
